Unlike our government, some European governments are publicly expressing in strong terms their displeasure and deep concern with the expansion of Jewish settlements in the West Bank. Last Monday (1/16/12) the UK's Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg accused Israel of carrying out "deliberate vandalism" by continuing to build settlements on Palestinian land.
